Key determinants of quality in the pharmaceutical supply chain

Purpose Empirical studies on the supply chain quality management (SCQM) of pharmaceutical sector are scarce and scattered. This paper investigates a set key determinants in to offer holistic control framework for its (SC). Design/methodology/approach A mixed-method design was used. focused group discussion with seven SC managers summarized narratives SCQM this helped develop questionnaire. The survey data were collected from 299 firms. Findings statistical results show leadership (LS), customer focus (CF), process integration (PIM), supplier relations (SR), practice (QP), human resource practices (HRP) safety (SF). Unlike many other sectors, SC, logistics inventory costs have been proved be not as important measures eyes part performance measures, which can result priority systems influenced by World Health Organization standards. Originality/value study is distinctive scope carried out developing country concept reference SC. It shows great potential further improvements warehousing sector, interest regulators who aim ensure health-care sector.
